at the workshop given by Kendra Dekay on trail riding. It was given to the group called The Educated Equestrians here in Aiken SC. It will certainly be a wonderful experience to be on a trail ride with this group. Here in the workshop we learned how to work as a group and be safe. The workshop was held at Julie Robin's Dragon Fly Farm. You should be able to click on the below photograph and then click on the words slide show. Enjoy!
Hi everybody! Below you will find a link to some photographs taken
at the workshop given by Kendra Dekay on trail riding. Enjoy! Here is a link to some photographs taken today at Julie Robin's Dragon Fly Farm. Kendra DeKay gave a great demonstration on how to pony a horse!
I hope you enjoy the photographs! I just returned from watching Instructor Kendra Dekay teaching a lesson at Julie Robin's Dragon Fly Farm in Aiken. As you will see in the clip video above, her student Judith was asking her three year old Tennessee Walking horse named Sonny through the horse car wash. It was his first time through it! I know that my horses would be a bit jumpy about this, but as you will see in the video, Sonny wasn't fazed at all! Not sure why Youtube couldn't get a good snap shot for the intro! Sorry about that! OH, the music is a bit loud, you might want to turn down the volume - or up if you like the song and wish to boogie! :O
I just added a new topic here on this site called "Reading Horses." If you look to the left it is the last tab on the bottom. My instructor Julie Robins has left for NY for the summer. Her assistant Kendra is now helping me until she returns. Kendra's teaching go towards the psychology of the horse and reading the horse. So, I thought if I have a lesson where the horse is displaying certain things and I am reading the horse, I will post the lesson there. I just added my first post this morning. I was writing Julie about the lesson and thought I would copy and paste it there. Enjoy!
