CANINES AND FELINES
ANNIE
The farm is also home to four dogs and one crazy cat! The first to mention is Annie. She is 12 years old with severe arthritis, and now blind. Her first eye was injured with a horse play ball that she deflated and while shaking it rapidly back and forth, and hit her eye. She then became diabetic and is given two shots of insulin a day. The diabetes took her site in her other eye! The good news of all of this? She doesn't mind at all! She can even play fetch if you throw the frisbee/ball close to her. She is amazing. She still holds the place of "alpha" in the herd of four. She loves to tell the other dogs that the kitchen is "her" territory. They need to stay in the laundry room! The photo to the left is one where she was a ball crazed gal.
MISSY BREWER
Missy Brewer was named by her Dad the brewmaster! George Fix. Unfortunately, being named Brewer most people thought that she was a boy. She became offended enough to ask to be called "Missy" in front of her Brewer name. Brewer is quite the character. She is 10 years old. In her life she has had four knee surgeries. The first one went bad and then there were three more to correct it. She now suffers from arthritis because of it. Brewer loves to hop when she runs. She loves her food and devours it way too fast! While sleeping, she snores very loudly! If you scratch the top of her backside by her hips, she goes into a position of almost a summersalt. George always call it her "inversions."
